UNH-IOL Senior Engineer Lincoln Lavoie was awarded the Broadband Forum Outstanding Contributor award for his work with the Fibre Access Networks Working Group (FAN). This work has been integral in the creation of the industry's first GPON ONU (optical networking unit) certification program. In addition to his work with the FAN working group, Lincoln also serves as vice chair of the Metallic Transmissions Group.
