Abstract
This testing provides pre-certification testing, based on the Broadband Forum OD-247, GPON Conformance Test Plan, which defines a number of test cases based on requirements and recommendations defined within TR-156 and G.Imp984.4. The ONU test cases rely on an OLT Emulator test tool, which processes well defined OMCI message sequences, verifying the ONU/ONT device is able to implement the required/recommend feature.
Notes

The UNH-IOL is currently developing an OLT Emulator test tool, with the support of Broadlight. The completion of OLT Emulator tool is scheduled to coincidence with the release of OD-247 as a certification document by the Broadband Forum.

Note: This testing may only be performed for companies that are members of the Broadband Forum. Sample reports are also available, however we can only provide the sample report to members of the Broadband Forum.

Abstract
The Broadband Forum, TR-255, GPON Interoperability Test Plan, defines test cases based on the requirements/recommendations of BBF TR-156 and ITU0T G.Imp984.4. Each test case requires both an OLT and ONU/ONT, and verifies the behavior(s), as seen at the U and V reference points, match the standard requirement(s).

Abstract
This test suite verifies the functionality of an ONU device supporting both GPON and point-to-point Gigabit Ethernet with a single optical transceiver. The tests measure the transmitted power with the optical link active and disconnected to ensure an ONU will not optically pollute an active PON network upon it's initial connection by transmitting P-t-P Ethernet signaling upstream.
