InterOperability is becoming increasingly important in today?s communication industry. In a time when the consumer has more choice and flexibility in their home networking and Internet services than ever before, single vendor solutions are nearly impossible and most definitely impractical. For this reason manufacturers are taking every precaution to make sure their products work properly with all other manufacturers? products. In this spirit standards bodies are formed with the claim that modems will work collectively if they adhere to the approved standard. However, as with all documents the standards are open to interpretation. This test suite will ensure complete activation phase compliance of a High Bit Rate Digital Subscriber Line- Second Generation modem. The tests are designed to scrutinize the modems adherence to American Nation Standards Industry?s Ti.418-2000 High bit rate Digital Subscriber Line- 2nd Generation (HDSL2) approved standard. All anticipated results are based on this document and the validity of the anticipated results can be proved using this document. The methods of testing are as low level as possible and do not rely on a specific vendor?s product so the most accurate and unbiased results may be obtained.

|Implementation and Comparison of iSCSI Over RDMA||Ethan Burns||
iSCSI is an emerging storage network technology that allows for block-level access to disk drives over a computer network. Since iSCSI runs over the very ubiquitous TCP/IP protocol it has many advantages over its more proprietary alternatives. Due to the recent movement toward 10 gigabit Ethernet, storage vendors are interested to see how this large increase in network bandwidth could benefit the iSCSI protocol.
In order to make full use of the bandwidth provided by a 10 gigabit Ethernet link, specialized Remote Direct Memory Access hardware is being developed to offload processing and reduce the data-copy-overhead found in a standard TCP/IP network stack. This thesis focuses on the development of an iSCSI implementation that is capable of supporting this new hardware and the evaluation of its performance.
This thesis depicts the approach used to implement the iSCSI Extensions for Remote Direct Memory Access (iSER) with the UNH iSCSI reference implementation. This approach involves a three step process: moving UNH-iSCSI from the Linux kernel to the Linux user-space, adding support for the iSER extensions to our user-space iSCSI and finally moving everything back into the Linux kernel. In addition to a description of the implementation, results are given that demonstrate the performance of the completed iSER-assisted iSCSI implementation.

The November test set explored several new areas, including VoIP via Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), wireless LANS and streaming video via Multicast. Particular areas of testing included IPsec, DNS, DHCP, iSCSI, routing, tunneling and QoS. The November testing was attended by 16 different vendors, and results proved that IPv6 is stable and capable of running key data communications applications (voice-based services and multicast).

This round of testing aimed to improve the conformance, stability, and internetworking capability of multiple commercial implementations of IPv6. The event was attended by 11 organizations. Where previous rounds of testing were focused on testing core network areas, objectives for this round were to demonstrate advances in IPv6 applications, including DHCP, voice services, mobility, DHCP, DNS/DHCP resolution, application layer (VoIP), and security (IPsec). A successful VoIP call was made over IPv6 from New Hampshire to South Korea using commercial software.
