Date:
Monday, February 19, 2024 - 8:00am to Tuesday, February 20, 2024 - 5:00pm

Overview

The UNH-IOL will be hosting the O-RAN Global PlugFest Spring 2024 and serving as one of five lab sites.  Testing at the UNH-IOL site will focus on the following high-level scope items.

  • Test and confirm consistent and repeatable test results for O-RU conformance, O-DU conformance, or fronthaul testing, as part of the theme "Demonstrate consistent and repeatable open fronthaul testing in multiple labs."
  • Deployment of automated testing and results reporting of the TIFG E2E test specification for sets of O-RAN components, as part of the theme "O-RAN E2E Deployment Templates, DevOps, and Test Automation."
  • Execution of the security testing based on WG11 test plans, with the objectives to review and improve the test plans, evaluate different test implementations and systems, to explore repeatability and any differences between the test implementations or outcomes.
  • Testing of use cases requiring QoS and network slicing.
  • Testing of O-RU and O-DU interoperability.

Participation in the Global Plugfest is available to all O-RAN Members. Registration for the event is through the O-RAN Alliance organization. To participate in the plugfest, please register your interest here:  Reigster here

The North American plugfest is being organized in partnership with AT&T, DISH, COSMOS, NIST, Northeastern University, POWDER, and Verizon with each providing input to the desired testing scopes and activities.
