In September of 2010, the Ethernet Alliance Higher Speed Ethernet sub-committee had a very successful interoperability event that demonstrated that the Higher Speed Ethernet infrastructure is ready for deployment. The report on the plugfest can be found at the EA's web site by clicking here. However, the plugfest only demonstrated basic interoperability among test, system, transceiver and cable vendors. We're now ready to take the plugfest to the next level - with more extensive, more rigorous testing against the IEEE standard.
