Part Time Undergrad Sales Position

This is a part-time hourly position, without benefits, at the UNH InterOperability Lab. The UNH InterOperability Lab (UNH-IOL) has been testing Networking and Communications products and devices since 1988. Fully owned by the University of New Hampshire, the lab receives 100% of its funding from commercial companies in exchange for professional and testing services. 


Sales Development Representative (SDR)

This is a part-time hourly position at the UNH-IOL.  This entry-level position will work with Technical Sales Executives to assist in engaging potential customers.

SDRs will be expected to:

  • Obtain a high-level understanding of targeted technologies and the UNH-IOL’s associated testing products and services.
  • Generate lead pools by leveraging sales enablement tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Seamless.AI.
  • Work closely with Technical Sales Executives to develop call strategies and messaging.
  • Conduct outbound efforts to qualify new leads through engagement over the phone (cold calling), video conference, and written communication.
  • Identify and overcome prospect objections.
  • Set up meetings or calls between leads and Technical Sales Executives.
  • Maintain a complete record of efforts in Salesforce.
  • Working hours available are typically Mon-Fri from 8AM-6PM

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Enrolled in Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree program
  • Available to work 12-15 hours/week (Mon-Fri, 8AM-6PM) during the semester
  • Available to work 35 hours/week during Summer, Winter, Spring break
  • Pass a pre-employment background check
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong, positive presence in phone communications
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Experience creating and updating Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
  • Strong listening and presentations skills, including remote presentations with Zoom or similar

Additional Desirable Qualifications

  • A willingness to speak with new people everyday and explain the UNH-IOL’s value proposition as it relates to each person you speak with.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM
