Communications Video & Photography Assistant

This is a part-time hourly position, without benefits, at the UNH InterOperability Lab. The UNH InterOperability Lab (UNH-IOL) has been testing Networking and Communications since 1988. Fully owned by the University of New Hampshire, the lab receives 100% of its funding from commercial companies in exchange for professional and testing services. The availability of the position is contingent upon funding. UNH-IOL seeks a passionate, dynamic, self-starter to assist with the marketing and communications efforts. This position will be working directly with the Communications coordinator and is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing while working for a well-known organization. The ideal candidate should be a regular user of social media on a personal level but interested in how social media continues to reshape marketing.

Under general direction, you will be responsible for:

  • Filming various video and photography content for social media, website, and Youtube channels
  • Video & photography editing
  • Identifying video & photography opportunities to showcase our lab services, students, etc.
  • Assist with various social media channels and providing meaningful content

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications or Advertising)
  • Available to work 12 - 20 hours/week during semester
  • Available to work 30-40 hours/week during Summer, Winter, Spring break
  • Must have computer skills (working knowledge of Adobe Suite, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Can act as a self-starter and can work independently as well in groups
  • Ability to multi-task, good listener, and organized
