What testing will be performed at these events? The goal of these events will be to perform InterOperability testing of Display components. For this event, testing scope will include:
Will there be conformance testing performed at the event? No. The focus of the Interop Workshop will be interop testing. For the purpose of baselining component behavior, private electrical measurements can be made utilizing the DPHYGUI tool (available from the MIPI Alliance Testing Page) to validate system viability prior to interoperability test effort. For the purpose of debugging interop problems, UNH-IOL will make available to attendees test tools (high speed oscilloscopes) for debugging signaling and protocol issues. UNH-IOL Conformance test services are available throughout the year at our offices in Durham, NH and San Jose, CA USA. UNH-IOL has recommended a 'Test Vehicle Board' (TVB) that describes an SMA connection for D-PHY based devices. UNH-IOL has recommended this in part to provide flexibility and compatibility when connecting devices at an interop event. What are the hours of the event? UNH-IOL will open the doors at 9AM each day of the event. Testing will begin at 12PM Monday. The facility will remain open until 6PM each day. Is an NDA required to attend the event? Yes. All attendees will need to sign and return an NDA for this event. How will the schedule for the event work? UNH-IOL will be collecting registration forms and determining that all devices have the capability to implement the testing required during the event. Based on that, UNH-IOL will create a schedule providing a time slot for each vendor to be paired with each link partner to work together on performing interop testing.
Is there a cost to attend the event? Companies with active membership in the UNH-IOL MIPI Display Testing Service do not need to pay the registration fee to attend the respective Interop Workshop. For all other companies a registration fee of $4000 is required. Companies are allowed to bring up to 3 engineers to the event, a fee of $400 will be assessed for exceeding that number. Companies that pay the registration fee for the event will have 90 days to apply that fee toward a yearly membership in the UNH-IOL Display Test Service. How many product samples should I bring to the event? We typically recommend at least 2 product samples. This will help prepare for broken samples, or the need to conduct multiple test tracks at once. What is the shipping address for the Nokia facility?
