Gigabit Ethernet Consortium
The Gigabit Ethernet Consortium was originally established in 1997. It is funded by member companies who share a common goal of fostering interoperability within Gigabit Ethernet products and increasing the market feasibility of Gigabit Ethernet technology. The Gigabit Ethernet Consortium tests Gigabit Ethernet (Std 802.3TM-2005) products and software from both an interoperability and conformance perspective. Energy Efficient EthernetThe Gigabit Ethernet consortium is now offering testing for Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) IEEE 802.3az. This new protocol recognizes the growing need to be both energy efficient and energy conscious. The testing covers the full range of timer and physical layer signaling that is applicable to this new specification. Interoperability testing can also be arranged. The UNH-IOL was an active participant during the development of the EEE standard and please note that we also offer EEE testing for 10BASE-T, Fast Ethernet, and will soon offer testing for 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Please see our test suite page for the status of our latest efforts, or contact us for more information. A few benefits of membership include:
The UNH-IOL also provides 10BASE-T Testing Services, Fast Ethernet, 10Gigabit Ethernet and Power over Ethernet Consortia. |
