SCD-3020v2 Zoning [Top]
Last Modified: 5/18/2004
Revision: 1
Status: Fully Documented (Active)
Testing Days Needed: 1 Week
Abstract: This conformance test suite, SCD-3020, tests zoning as defined in FC-SW-2. The Tests are designed around the fabric, and name server login procedure, and registration. The tests verify that a device will be visible and be able to locate other devices on the name server when the devices are in the same zone, and that they will not be visible if not in the same zone. It also verifies that the correct frames are exchanged on switch ISLs when zones are configured, changed or deleted. For the SANmark Qualified Program, primary focus will be initially applied to on-the-wire protocol analysis tests, which explicitly define test setup procedures, and entrance / exit criteria using available Fibre Channel analyzer test equipment. Further term focus will be applied to more general behavior at the sub-system and full system level. SCD-3020 consists entirely of Fibre Channel Zoning tests.

Point to Point Interoperability [Top]
Last Modified: 8/15/2006
Revision: 1.01
Status: Fully Documented (Active)
Testing Days Needed: 1 week
Abstract: This suite of tests has been developed to help implementers identify problems that Fibre Channel devices may have in establishing link and exchanging packets with each other. The tests do not determine if a product conforms to the T11 Standards. Rather, they provide one method to verify that the two devices can exchange packets within the bit error ratio specifications established by the FC-PI-2 standard when operating over various channels. The interoperability test suite focuses on two areas of functionality to simulate a real-world environment: the exchange of packets to produce a packet error ratio that is low enough to meet a desired bit error ratio, and the ability to detect and establish a link at the optimal speed between two devices that make up a link segment.
