UNH-IOL Fibre Channel over Ethernet Testing |
| The UNH-IOL is pleased to announce Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) testing for FCoE devices with speeds up to 10G.
The UNH-IOL Fibre Channel Consortium has created an FCoE Encapsulation Test Suite based on the T11 FC-BB-5 Rev 2.00 Standard.
The UNH-IOL Fibre Channel Consortium is also actively developing a Fibre Channel over Ethernet Initialization Protocol (FIP) Test Suite. To take advantage of these new test suites, you must have an FCoE tier membership within

There are two types of membership levels in the UNH-IOL Fibre Channel Consortium: Full Membership and Basic Membership
Basic Membership allows members to reserve private testing sessions for their product, receive full execution of Fibre Channel Test Suites, and receive detailed test reports containing the results. Basic Members have access
to the Fibre Channel Consortium's Interoperability Test Bed and are required to contribute a representative sample of their Fibre Channel product(s) to the Interoperability Test Bed.
Full Membership allows members all of the benefits of Basic Membership in addition to being able to execute the Fibre Channel over Ethernet Test Suites.
The UNH-IOL has been testing, debugging, and refining Fibre Channel software and hardware since 1995. Experienced third-party lab testing, fueled by leading-edge test tools and a growing test bed, saves costs and time getting Fibre Channel, including 8Gig products, to market. To facilitate conformance and interoperability, UNH-IOL has developed an array of carefully researched test suites. UNH-IOL engineers capture in-depth information from these tests in confidential, detailed reports that member companies can use to boost internal R&D, saving significant time and cost to market. Companies may also choose to provide these reports to their customers as third-party evidence of high quality conformant and interoperable products.
