Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM)

The University of New Hampshire's InterOperability Laboratory investigated the area of Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM), as defined in IEEE Std. 802.3ah-2004. This consortium is no longer active.

  • EPON services and system lefel testing
  • OAM protocol and interop

Covering the following clauses and annexes:

  • Annex 4A (MAC)
  • Clauses 45 (Management)
  • Clause 31/Annex 31B (PAUSE)
  • Clause 57 (OAM)
  • Clause 60 (P2MP PMD)
  • Clauses 64/65 (MPCP and EPON RS)
