DSL Group Test Events

Group Testing hosted through the DSL Consortium

The UNH-IOL, through its DSL Consortium, has hosted over 40 group test events for the industry including DSL Forum interoperability plugfests and hotstaging for industry trade shows such as SUPERCOMM and CeBIT. In addition, the UNH-IOL DSL Consortium has provided support for interoperability demos at trade shows and externally hosted test events.

All UNH-IOL hosted group test events are held in our advanced group test facility.

Plugfests

Plugfests are group test events that allow participants to collectively test their devices with each other in accordance with a specific test plan. These test plans are comprised of interoperability tests based on functional aspects of a given standard.

Plugfests generally last one week. Not including time for setup and teardown, vendors can expect to get a full twelve hours of testing out of every day of the event, from 8am to 8pm. Gourmet lunch is provided to all participants, catered by UNH Hospitality Services.

The DSL Consortium of the UNH-IOL has been hosting interoperability plugfests for the industry since 1999, and has hosted the DSL Forum ADSL2/2+ interoperability plugfests since 2003. DSL Forum plugfests are based on test plans developed through the DSL Forum, and the UNH-IOL DSL Consortium collects the results of each plugfest and submits the anonymous statistics as a DSL Forum contribution.

Hotstage events

Trade Show/Test event support

The UNH-IOL is also available for contract-based trade show and test event support. Back-end network support, demo setup, and presentation support can all be provided. The UNH-IOL DSL Consortium has assisted with the ETSI Plugtest series, and the DSL Forum's SUPERCOMM interoperability demonstrations.
