The UNH-IOL has been involved in the Ethernet Industry since 1988 and we are pleased to announce that we are launching an effort around the recently published 802.3ba Standard. The UNH-IOL 40 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet Consortium will be setup as an industry-supported organization that works in conjunction with its member companies to provide a neutral test environment and industry accepted test methodologies for the purpose of promoting and fostering conformance and interoperability of 40 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet devices.

We are currently accepting applications for founding members of this consortium and will offer testing starting with Physical Layer test suites and Interoperability as soon as a core group of at least 4 founding members is established. Founding members will direct the early development and focus of the consortium and will also have a permanent listing on the consortium website.

We plan to offer a wide range of extensively detailed test suites designed for your 40 and 100 Gigabit related products, including:

  • Physical Layer Testing for both Optical and Eletrical devices
  • Interoperability for 40 and 100 Gigabit NICs, Switches, Transceivers, Routers, and other devices.
  • PCS, MAC, RS, and FC layer testing

Member Benefits

  • The 40 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet Consortium can be thought of as an extension of an in-house test lab and can help decrease the time to market for 40 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet devices by identifying potential interoperability issues early in the development process.
  • We will also offer a large number of conformance test suites in a flexible and friendly testing environment.
  • All 40 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet Consortium Members will be encouraged to take advantage of our testing serivice as many times as there are slots available for testing.
  • Members will receive an industry recognized test report for all testing completed with us.

The UNH-IOL also provides 10BASE-T Testing Services, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet and Power over Ethernet Consortia.
