1394Formed in April of 1998, the 1394 Consortium examined the Physical, Media Access Control and driver layers of the IEEE 1394 Protocol, commonly referred to as "Firewire™". The 1394 Consortium was the UNH-IOL's first foray into the realm of consumer electronics, where our reputation was then unknown. Due to low product margins and closed nature of that industry, the 1394 consortium was underutilized and closed in December of 1999. Please contact us if you have any questions about this or any other consortium or technology. |
