Hosted by the UNH-IOL:
May 8-12, 2006
|
Overview
In answer to the need for multi-device compatibility at the core of the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) architecture, the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory's (UNH-IOL) VoIP Consortium will be hosting the industry's first IMS Interoperability Test Event. The Event, scheduled for May 8 through May 12, 2006 will bring together leading companies to refine their products within an IMS core network. In helping to build a controlled multi-vendor IMS topology, participants will learn how and why they do or do not internetwork properly with others. Possible test areas now in consideration include registering UE with CSCF servers, establishing VoIP calls through IMS network between UEs and from a UE through the IMS network to PSTN/PLMN endpoints, call connection quality and advanced IMS features. Publicity during and after the event will also give participants an opportunity to demonstrate to the industry their commitment to interoperability.
Specific questions not addressed here should be communicated to Lincoln Lavoie, VoIP Consortium Manager at +1-603-862-4809 or via email at lylavoie@iol.unh.edu.
